Attention of the importers, Customs Brokers, Members of the Trade and all other Stake holders is invited to Public Notice No. 16/2020 dated 10.04.2020, as amended vide Public Notice No. 24/2020 dated 19.05.2020, on the subject cited above. 2. Keeping in view of the extension of lockdown by the Govt. of India, Board has extended the facility of accepting undertaking in lieu of Bond for the period till 15.06.2020 vide Circular No. 26/2020 dated 29.05.2020. 3. Accordingly, para 4.2 and para 5 of Public Notice No. 16/2020 dated 10.04.2020, as amended vide Public No. 24/2020 dated 19.05.2020, are further amended as under:- A. Para 4.2 of Public Notice No. 16/2020 dated 10.04.2020, as amended vide Public Notice No. 24/2020 dated 19.05.2020:- For the purpose of provisional assessment, the importer shall submit Bond or Undertaking (in lieu of Bond) in case of eligible categories as mentioned in Board Circular No. 17/2020 dated 03.04.2020 read with Public Notice No. 14/2020 dated 03.04.2020 as amended vide Public Notice No. 16/2020 dated 10.04.2020 issued by this Commissionerate. As far as security is concerned... ... .... A1 Amended para 4.2: For the purpose of provisional assessment, the importer shall submit Bond or Undertaking (in lieu of Bond) in case of eligible categories as mentioned in Board Circular No. 17/2020 dated 03.042020 read with Public Notice No. 14/2020 dated 03.04.2020 as amended vide Public Notice No. 16/2020 dated 10.04.2020 and Public No. 24/2020 dated 19.05.2020, issued by this Commissionerate. As far as security is concerned B Existing Para 5 of Public Notice No. 16/2020 dated 10.04.2020 as amended vide Public Notice 2412020 dated 19.05.2020: The importers availing this facility of provisional assessment shall ensure that the Undertaking furnished in lieu of Bond as per Circular No. 17/2020-Cus dated 03.04.2020 read with Public Notice No. 14/2020 dated 03.04.2020 of this Commissionerate is duly replaced with a proper Bond on or before the date specified therein which is presently mentioned as 15.06.2020. Bond Section shall maintain a record of B1 Further amended para 5: The importers availing this facility of provisional assessment shall ensure that the Undertaking furnished in lieu of Bond as per Circular No. 17/2020-Cus dated 03.042020 read with Public Notice No. 14/2020 dated 03.04.2020, as amended, of this Commissionerate is duly replaced with a proper Bond on or before the date specified therein which is presently mentioned as 30.06.2020. Bond Section shall maintain a record of .... . 4. Other contents of Public Notice No. 16/2020 dated 10.04.2020 remain unchanged. Public Notice No. 16/2020 dated 10.04.2020 stands amended to this extent. 5. All trade associations/members of Customs Brokers Association are requested to take note and publicize the contents of this Public Notice among their member/constituents. 6. For the departmental officer, this may be treated as Standing Order. 7. Difficulties, if any, may be brought to the notice of Additional Commissioner of Customs (Technical), ICD-IMPORT, TKD, New Delhi.
