The Board's instructions laying down procedure for holding the Zonal Tariff-cum-General Conferences of Collectors of Central Excise, issued from time to time. 2. At present, the comments of Collectors of Central Excise other than the sponsoring Collector on the tariff points to be discussed in various Zonal Tariff-cum-General Conferences of Collectors of Central Excise are not being circulated among each other within the zone. Board feels that it would be of immense help for a fruitful and meaningful discussion if the comments of Collectors of Central Excise other than the sponsoring Collector (whose views are already reflected in his brief), are also circulated among each other within the zone, with a copy to the Principal Collector of the Zone, D.G.(I)/A.D.G.(I), D.G.(A.E.)/A.D.G.(A.E.) as the case may be/Chief Chemist, C.R.C.L., as the case may be. 3. It is, therefore, requested that henceforth, the comments of Collectors of Central Excise other than the sponsoring Collectors on the tariff point(s) sponsored for discussion in zonal Tariff-cum-General Conference of Collectors of Central Excise, may be circulated among each other in the zone, with a copy to the Principal Collector of Central Excise of the Zone, Director General (Inspection) Customs and Central Excise/Director General (Anti-Evasion)/Addl. Director General (Anti-Evasion), Delhi, as the case may be, Chief Chemist, C.R.C.L., New Delhi.
