Procedure for allocation of quota for export of broken rice on humanitarian and food security grounds, based on requests received from Governments of other Countries. - DGFT - Trade Notice No. 12/2023Extract Government of India Ministry of Commerce Industry Department of Commerce Directorate General of Foreign Trade Date 30 th June, 2023 Trade Notice No. 12/2023 Subject: Procedure for allocation of quota for export of broken rice on humanitarian and food security grounds, based on requests received from Governments of other Countries. DGFT vide Trade Notice No. 08/2023 dated 20th June 2023 has laid down the procedure for applying for licence and allocation of quota for export of broken rice on humanitarian and food security grounds, based on requests received from Governments of other Countries. 2. DGFT received representations regarding difficulties being faced while filling up the online forms and certain issues regarding allocation of quota. With a view to resolve these issues a video conference was arranged on 27th June, 2023, with the exporters under the Chairmanship of Shri S.C. Agarwal, Addl. DGFT. After detailed deliberations with the exporters, DGFT has decided to partially amend the following Paras of Trade Notice No. 08/2023 dated 20th June 2023: Paras Existing Para Revised Para 5 (III) Allocation may be made with minimum threshold of 8000 MT by sea. Allocation may be made with minimum threshold of 2000 MT by sea. 6 (c) Online applications filed from 21/06/2023 to 30/06/2023 will only be considered. Online applications filed from 21/06/2023 to 03/07/2023 will only be considered. 9 The exporters who have been allocated the quota of broken rice will submit the 'Landing Certificate' within one month of completion of exported of quota of broken rice. The exporters who have been allocated the quota of broken rice will submit the 'Landing Certificate' within 90 days of allocated completion of export of allocated quota of broken rice. 3. The existing online form, for obtaining licence for export of broken rice under the subject quota, is being partially amended to make the submission of importer detail optional, as details of importer are not known at the time of application. 4.
