Attention is invited to Public Notice No. 03/2009 dated 07.09.2009 as amended vide letter dated 17.05.2012. issued by the Commissioner of Customs, Tuticorin declaring the Container Freight Station set up by M/s Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Private Limited, Tuticorin as Customs Area under Section 8(b) of the Customs Act. 1962 and appointment as Custodians for handling of Import and Export cargo under section 45(1) ibid read with Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 (as amended). In this regard, it is brought to the notice of the Exporters, Importers, Customs Brokers, Shipping Lines. Freight Forwarders and all concerned stakeholders, that the name of M/s Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Private Limited. has been changed to M/s DP World Multimodal Logistics Private Limited w.e.f. 30 th of November, 2022. Henceforth, the said CFS will be known as M/s DP World Multimodal Logistics Private Limited CFS. In the all the documents handled by Customs Department. Except for the change in name, all. other contents of the Public Notice mentioned supra remain the same. The change of name, will not wither/take away the responsibilities cast upon the CFS Custodian to clear the litigation, statutory obligations. Tax Disputes, Show Cause notices, arrears pendency, if any in their earlier name, This is issued as per the guidelines given in the Board s letter in F.No.434/25/2015-Cus-IV dated 14.06.2016 also read with Board s letter in F.No.434/03/2010-Cus-IV . dated 13.07.2017 Circular 50/2020 dated 05.11.2020.
