(NT) dated: 24.08.2017 regarding re-organisation of Customs jurisdictions and Chief Commissioner of Customs Bangalore Zone s Public Notice No. 1/2018 dated 12.01.2018, the reorganized Customs jurisdictions came into force w.e.f 15.01.2018. Further, vide Public Notice No. 16/2019 dated 25.09.2019, of the Commissioner of Customs, Mangalore the EP Cell and ICD Belgaum is to be headed by Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of Customs, NCH, Panambur, Mangaluru. Recently gold/valuables which were seized/confiscated and deposited by Belgaum Central Excise Commissionerate were jointly inventorised by Officers of Mangalore Customs and Belgaum GST and were transferred to New Custom House, Panambur, Mangaluru for the purpose of disposal. The date of seizure of the gold on perusal of the available documents is from 1983 to 1991. And the gold was seized from following persons as per the available documents : Murgeshan Challaduri Nadar Mohammed Kutty Kalleparambil Appunni (1) Farooq Shaik (2) Mohammed lqbal Sadique Alias Siddibaba VMANI Sayed Ismail Alias Moiden Ali Hasan (1) K.Hamza (2) P Moideen Nawab Khan Shaikh Moulay Saheb K kesavan Mani M. Mohiddin Mohammed Abdul Khader Vallappil Haris Hanamanth (alias Ashok) and Shankar V.N. Assainar Goraknath Yeshwant Nikam Aboobker Kutty Babu Singh Raiput TM Azeez Premdas M Therefore, if any person claims legal ownership of the gold and has an objection towards the disposal of the same, he/she may bring to the notice of this office immediately. If no one objects the disposal of the gold, the process of disposal of confiscated gold as per procedures prescribed in Disposal Manual, 2019 shall be initiated. Further, this may be considered as a notice under Section 150 of the Customs Act, 1962. This issues with the approval of Principal Commissioner of Customs.
