Attention of the Exporters, Customs Brokers and other trading public is invited to various notifications issued by the DGFT and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes Customs regarding export of different varieties of Rice. From the above, it is clear that export of different varieties of Rice are subject to certain conditions/ prohibitions/ levy of duties. In order to rule out any mis-declaration, it has been decided that export of rice consignments of all varieties shall be subjected to sampling and testing before grant of Let Export Order. 3. Necessary instructions have already been given to ensure that the samples are drawn and test reports are obtained within 48 hours from the Custom House Laboratory. 4. Exporters and Customs Brokers may ensure that. the consignments of Rice meant for export are pre-stacked in the CFSs/Customs area well in advance so that the test reports are obtained before shipment.
