MUMBAI-400001 DIN No. 2024037700000042424A Date : 01.03.2024 PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 51 / 2024 Subject : Special drive for cancellation of Bond/Bank Guarantee on account of submission of EODC / Redemption Letters issued by the DGFT Authorities reg. Attention of all the Licence Holders (EPCG/ DEEC) and Customs Brokers is drawn to a special drive being initiated by the Export Commissionerate, New Custom House, Mumbai Zone-I with the intent to carry out the cancellation of Bond/ Bank Guarantee in respect of EPCG/DEEC Licences on submission of EODC/ Redemption Letters issued by concerned DGFT Authorities. 2.1 Mumbai Customs Zone-I has always been at the forefront of trade facilitation, technology adoption and ease of doing business. Building upon this approach, it has been decided to initiate a special drive to cancel all the pending Bonds/ Bank Guarantee submitted by the EPCG/ DEEC Licence holders at the time of registration of the Licence in this zone. This special drive is focused on those licence holders who have been issued the EODC/ Redemption Letters for their licences by the concerned DGFT Authorities. It is expected not only to ease the cancellation procedure of Bond/ Bank Guarantee but also to increase awareness and transparency among the Licence holders. This special drive will be 'conducted from 4th March, 2024 to 18th March, 2024. 2.2 During the drive, licences in respect of which EODCs having QR Codes will be closed on the same day of submission of EODC after due verification and an acknowledgement will be given to the Exporter. 2.3 The list of the pending licences, as per available records, in respect of EPCG and DEEC (Advance Authorisation), are enclosed herewith as Annexure-A and Annexure-B, respectively. The Licence Holders as well as Customs Brokers are requested to submit the relevant documents, viz., EODC/Redemption Letters issued by the concerned DGFT in respect of the pending licneces, to the officers nominated as below at CRU (Export) Section, Ground floor, New Custom House, Mumbai or forward the same on official email id of the concerned Sections during 10.30 am to 6.00 pm.
