I am directed to invite your attention to the minutes on point No. 13 of the monthly meeting on Modvat held with the trade representatives, on the above subject. Board has decided that a general permission in case of clearances of inputs as such, on payment of duty under Rule 57F(1)(ii), may be given to all assessee instead of giving permission to each and every consignment of inputs intended to tbe cleared. The above instructions may be brought to the notice of the field formations. Trade notices may also be issued for the benefit of the trade. Receipt of this letter may please be acknowledged.
