Mumbai -I CI [by name] Madam/ Sir, Sub : Investigation Module and Search and Survey Module of Income Tax Business Application (ITBA) Request for identifying the necessary infrastructural requirements to facilitate the roll out of the ITBA . Kind reference is invited to the above and also to letter dated 11.03.2015 of DIT(Systems)--III, Delhi addressed to all Pr. CCslT on the above, subject (copy enclosed as Annexure-I). 2. The Investigation Module and Search and Survey Modules of ITBA have been revamped based upon the recommendations of the Committee set up by the Board on the Systemic requirements of Investigation Wing. Central Charge and Directorates of Income-tax (I CI). Most of the functionalities proposed in these modules are new functionalities which ware not there in the existing system. 3. In order to roll out the Search and Survey/ Investigation module in ITBA, it is necessary to ensure, that necessary network and computer infrastructure is available for all officers and staff up to the level of Inspector. 4. In view of the above, you are requested to ensure procurement of computer infrastructure locally as per delegated financial powers and to provide data for requirements of network nodes to ADG (S)-4 in a time bound manner by March 15th 2016, so that there is readiness in the field for implementation of the investigation module in ITBA. This may be provided to System Directorate in the format provided by them in their letter dated 11.03.2015. 5. Further, the following may be noted : (a) The excel based offline utility for data entry w.r.t. the pending TEPs is ready for release by the Systems Directorate to all Investigation Units across the country. The Nodal Officer of the CRU may be directed to complete the data entry of the pending TEPs in a time bound manner by 15.03.2015 so that data is ready to be uploaded into Investigation module while rolling out. (b) Similarly, excel based offline utility for data entry w.r.t. STR is also ready for release by the Systems Directorate. The registered user of the Finnet may be directed to complete the data entry w.r.t. all STRs received by the Investigation Directorates till date in a time bound manner by 15.03.2015 to ensure that data is ready to be uploaded into investigation module when it is released. (c) Similarly, the information related to deposits of cash assets in PD accounts needs to be captured in the Excel Format as per Annexure-II to this letter. 6. The above matters, pertaining to ensuring availability of requisite infrastructure and data entry of information, may kindly be accorded Top Priority and compliance report in the above matter may be submitted to the Board by 15.03.2016 positively for a timely roll out of ITBA Modules. 7.
