[By Name] Sub : Sending findings of investigation in search and seizure cases to CEIB after finalisation of Appraisal Report-regarding Ref : Board s Letter of even number dated 16/03/2015,11/01/2016 and 04/02/2016 Sir/Madam, Kind reference is invited to the above. 2. In pursuance of the decisions taken in the Working Group Meeting of Intelligence apparatus pertaining to EIC, I am directed to convey that a decision was taken that findings of investigations emanating from search and seizure cases should be sent to CEIB within 15 days of finalisation of Appraisal Report and the earlier practice of endorsing a copy of PSRs to CEIB be discontinued. 3. However, it has come to the notice of the Board that the Inv. Directorates are not sending the findings of searches even after finalisation of the Appraisal Report. In view of this, I am directed to reiterate that findings of investigations should invariably be shared with CEIB within 15 days of finalization of the Appraisal Report in the following format, under intimation to CBDT. S. No Date of Search Name. Address and PAN of the assessee, about whom the information is shared with CEIB Gist of findings Law Enforcement Agency for which the information is relevant I am also directed to request you that the information, which is shared with REICs regularly, is to be shared with CEIB also. 4. I am further directed to request you to step up your performance in sending dossiers to CEIB. 5. This issues with the approval of Member (Inv.),CBDT.
