IV Dated 8-11-2005 Government of India Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Central Board of Excise Customs, New Delhi Subject : Import of second-hand Photocopier machine - Regarding The undersigned is directed to refer to Ministry's letter of even number dated 23rd August, 2005 wherein the Board, as interim measure had directed the field formations to allow import of second-hand photocopier under 'provisional assessment' on simple ITC Bond without insistence of Bank Guarantee. 2. DGFT has since issued a Notification No. 31 (RE-2005)/2004-2009, dated 19-10-2005 amending Para 2.17 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009. As a result of the amendment second-hand photocopier machines will only be allowed against a licence issued in this behalf. 3. In view of above, you are requested to issue necessary instructions allowing clearance of the second-hand Photocopier machines as per the provisions of Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 and discontinue 'provisional assessment' of the same.
