Modification in CIB Software- reg. - Income Tax - 35Extract Modification in CIB Software- reg. CIB Instruction No. 35 [F. No. 1/11/CIB/Soft/94-DIT(S)/Vol. II/] Dated 4-2-2010 Tel/Fax : 011-23515018 FAX: 011-23519119 E-mail: [email protected] Sir / Madam, The following changes have been incorporated in CIB module in respect of CIB and AIR: (i) Extraction in excel sheet, of non-PAN AIR data/AIR data with invalid PAN A new functionality has been introduced in ITD application for extraction of Non-PAN AIR data/AIR data with invalid PAN to an excel sheet. If the data is more than 50,000 in number, multiple excel files containing the extracted data will be generated. For example, if the number of resultant transactions is, say 65,000, the data will be extracted in two excel files, one containing 50,000 records and the other containing 15,000 records. In the relevant query screen for this purpose, the fields relating to Financial Year, Transaction amount and Transaction Code have been made mandatory for better performance of the query. This feature has been made available under the application roles of CIT_CO, CIT_CIB and ITO_CIB. The concerned user having an application role for a particular RCC can extract the data pertaining to that RCC. Through this functionality, the non-PAN AIR data/AIR data with invalid PAN for a particular RCC can be extracted and made available to the Designated Assessing Officers (DAOs) as required in para 4 of Instruction No. 01/ 2009 dated 12 th February, 2009 issued by the Central Board of Direct Taxes vide F. No. 142-08-2009-TPL. The step-wise instructions and relevant Screen Shots are enclosed as Annexure A. (ii) Access of Individual Transactions Statement (ITS) to Administrative Commissioner of Income Tax (CIT) Presently, the ITS access is available through ITD application to AO/CIT/CCIT only for such cases, which are under their jurisdiction and are selected in scrutiny. Through CIB Instruction No. 34, unrestricted jurisdictional access of ITS was provided to the Range heads, for all PANs under their jurisdiction, irrespective of whether the case is under scrutiny or not, and irrespective of whether there is a demand outstanding in that case. Now, in pursuance of the decision taken by CBDT, similar access of ITS is being provided to the administrative Commissioners of Income Tax, through the application role AR_CIT, for all PANs under their jurisdiction. (iii) Removal of the process Assign PAN to parties for non-PAN CIB data. In the existing CIB module, sequence of CIB processes is as follows; Upload of CIB transactions Standardization Build parties Assign PAN to parties Dissemination of cases to Ranges/AOs However, for the time being, for faster on-line dissemination of CIB transactions data to Ranges/AOs, the process of assigning PAN to Parties has been de-activated. The other processes and their sequence would remain the same. 2. In case of any technical difficulty, Shri Ajay Kumar, AD (Systems) may be contacted on 011-23515027. Yours Faithfully, Encl: As above Director of Income Tax (Systems)-II
