Rescinds the sector specific Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES at Sohna Road, Gurgaon in the state of Haryana - S.O. 2274(E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 19th July, 2013 S.O. 2274(E).- Whereas, M/s. Parsvnath Infra Ltd. had proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005) , (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for IT/ITES at Sohna Road, Gurgaon in the state of Haryana; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act , read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006 , had notified an area of 42.7045 hectares vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification Number S. O. 1445 (E) dated 23rd August, 2007; AND, WHEREAS, M/s. Parsvnath Infra Ltd. has proposed to denotify the entire area of 42.7045 hectares of the above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for de notification of above area on 27th June, 2013; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by first proviso to rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006 , the Central Government hereby rescinds the above notification except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
