NOTIFICATION No. 30/2013-Central Excise
New Delhi, dated the 29th November, 2013
G.S.R.- 763 (E) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby exempts goods of the description specified in the Table below and falling under the First Schedule to the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986) from the whole of the duty of excise leviable thereon which is specified in the said Schedule subject to the condition that the manufacturer produces, at the time of clearance of the said goods, before the jurisdictional Assistant or Deputy Commissioner of Central Excise, as the case may be, a certificate from an officer not below the rank of Deputy Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to the effect that the said goods are required for the Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme funded by the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Explanation. – Nothing contained in this notification shall have effect on or after the 1[1st day of April, 2016 ].
