To set up a sector-specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at Village Chharodi, Taluka Dascroi, District Ahmedabad, in the State of Gujarat. - S. O. 1577 (E) - Special Economic Zone

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Commerce) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 19 th September, 2007 S. O. 1577(E) - Whereas M/s. Ganesh Infrastructure Private Limited, a private organization in the State of Gujarat, has proposed under section 3 of The Special Economic Zones Act 2005 (28 of 2005) (hereinafter referred to as the Act), to set up a sector-specific Special Economic Zone for information technology and information technology enabled services at 1 [Village Chharodi, Taluka Dascroi and Village Tragad, Taluka City respectively of District Ahmedabad in the State of Gujarat]; And whereas the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 , has notified the total area of 10.5623 hectares at 1 [Village Chharodi, Taluka Dascroi and Village Tragad, Taluka City respectively of District Ahmedabad in the State of Gujarat] as Special Economic Zone in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry notification number S.O. 1011(E) dated 22nd June, 2007 ; And whereas M/s. Ganesh Infrastructure Private Infrastructure Private Limited has proposed to include additional areas of 10.73 hectares and 11.31 hectares at Village Chharodi, Taluka Dascroi and Village Tragad, Taluka City respectively of District Ahmedabad in the State of Gujarat; And whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section 8 of Section 3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled and it has granted letters of approval under sub-section (10) of Section 3 of the Act for development and operation of sector specific Special Economic for Information Technology and Information Technology Enabled Services at the said Villages Chharodi and Tragad, Taluka Dascroi, District Ahmedabad on 22nd June, 2007 for including additional area of 10.73 hectares and on 11th September, 2007 for including additional area of 11.31 hectares; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to sub-section (1) of section 4 of the said Act and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006 the Central Government hereby notifies an additional area of 22.15 hectares at Village Chharodi, Taluka Dascroi and Village Tragad, Taluka City respectively of District Ahmedabad in the State of Gujarat, comprising of the block numbers and the area given in the Table below, to be included as a part of that Special Economic Zone, namely:- Table S.
