Appointment of Customs Officers - 145 - Customs -Tariff

Notification No. 145 Dated 01/11/1969 In pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 5 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby directs that the Superintendents of Central Excise, Class I, in the Central Excise Department, who have been appointed under the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue and Insurance) No. 144-cus., dated the 1 st November 1969 also to exercise the powers and discharge the duties of 1 Assistant Commissioner of Customs or Deputy Commissioner of Customs], shall not, as such 2 [Assistant Commissioners], exercise any powers or discharge any duties conferred or imposed on 2 [Assistant Commissioners of Customs or Deputy Commissioner of Customs] under the said Act, other than those under sections 111 , 112 , 113 , 114 , 115 thereof. ------------ 1 Designation changed by Notification No. 29/99-Cus.
