Notification No. 96 Dated 28/06/1969 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 152 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of (1962) , the Central Government hereby directs that the powers exercisable by a 1 [Principal Commissioner of Customs or Commissioner of Customs, as the case may be] under the proviso to sub-section (3) of section 46 and under clause (i) of the first proviso to section 61 of the said Act shall also be exercisable by the 2 [Assistant Commissioner or Deputy Commissioner] of Central Excise, Pondicherry. ----------------------- 1 Substituted by Notification No. 56/2014-Cus.
