Commissioner where claim of drawback does not exceed ₹ 250/- - 41 - Customs -TariffExtract Notification No. 41 Dated 21/03/1964 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of section 152 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the central Government hereby directs that the powers of an 1 [Assistant Commissioner of customs or Deputy Commissioner of Customs] to sanction drawback in respect of personal effects of passengers, where the claim for such drawback in any single case does not exceed Rs. 250 may be exercised also by such of the following Gazetted Officers of Customs as may be empowered in this behalf by the Central Board of excise and Customs, namely : - Preventive Inspectors of Customs Superintendents of Central Excise --------------------------- 1 Designation changed by Notification No. 29/99-Cus.
