Notification No. 41 Dated 21/03/1964 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of section 152 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962) , the central Government hereby directs that the powers of an 1 [Assistant Commissioner of customs or Deputy Commissioner of Customs] to sanction drawback in respect of personal effects of passengers, where the claim for such drawback in any single case does not exceed ₹ 250 may be exercised also by such of the following Gazetted Officers of Customs as may be empowered in this behalf by the Central Board of excise and Customs, namely : - Preventive Inspectors of Customs Superintendents of Central Excise --------------------------- 1 Designation changed by Notification No. 29/99-Cus.
