Income-tax (First Amendment) Rules, 2000 - S.O. 352(E) - Income Tax

MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Revenue) (CENTRAL BOARD OF DIRECT TAXES) NOTIFICATION NO. 11319 New Delhi, the 6th April, 2000 S.O. 352(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 295 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), the Central Board of Direct Taxes hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Income-tax Rules, 1962 , namely - . 1. (1) These rules may be called the Income-tax (First Amendment) Rules, 2000 (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Income-tax Rules, 1962 , in rule 6F, in sub-rule (1), for the proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely :- Provided that nothing in this sub-rule shall apply in relation to any previous year in the case of any person if his total gross receipts in the profession do not exceed one lakh fifty thousand rupees in any one of the three years immediately preceding the previous year, or, where the profession has been newly set up in the previous year, his total gross receipts in the profession for that year are not likely to exceed the said amount. .
