Amendment in the Registration and Licensing of Industrial Undertaking (RLIU) Rules, 1952 - Publication of Draft rules - G.S.R. 1151(E) - Indian LawExtract MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 5th September, 2017 G.S.R. 1151(E).- The following draft of certain rules further to amend the Registration and Licensing of Industrial Undertakings Rules, 1952, which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 30 of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951) are hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of the said section, for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby, and notice is hereby given that the said draft will be taken into consideration on or after the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date on which copies of the Gazette of India in which this notification is published, are made available to the public; Objections or suggestions, if any, may be sent to the Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi-110011; The objections and suggestions, which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft rules before the expiry of the period so specified, shall be considered by the Central Government. DRAFT RULES 1. (1) Short title and commencement.- These rules may be called the Registration and Licensing of Industrial Undertaking (Amendment) Rules, 2017. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Registration and Licensing of Industrial Undertakings Rules, 1952, in rule 10, for sub-rule (2), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:- (2) The Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint one or more committees, consisting of such number of members as it may think fit to represent the Ministries or Departments of the Central Government dealing with,- (a) Industrial Policy and Promotion, (b) The Industry specified in the First Schedule to the Act, (c) Home Affairs, (d) Commerce; (e) Corporate Affairs: Provided that the Central Government may, if it deems fit, include in such committee any other member to represent any other Ministry or Department. .
