MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (Department of Industrial Development) ORDER New Delhi, the 24 th February, 1993 S.O. 125(E) In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 9 of the Industries (Development and Regulation) Act, 1951 (65 of 1951), the Central Government hereby specifies the classes of goods manufactured or produced in the scheduled industry of cement as mentioned in column (1) of the Table below on which shall be levied and collected as a cess a duty of excise for the purpose of the said Act with effect from 1 st March 1993 at the rate specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Table: TABLE Description of class of Goods Rate of duty of excise (1) (2) Cement ₹ 0.75 per Metric Tonne of cement manufactured or produced [F.
