SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA NOTIFICATION Mumbai, the 5th January, 1998 S.O.19(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (i) of section 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), the Board hereby makes the following regulations to amend the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Venture Capital Funds) Regulations, 1996. 1. These Regulations may be called the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Venture Capital Funds) Amendment Regulations, 1998. 2. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 3. In the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Venture Capital Funds) Regulations, 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Regulations')- (a) (1) in regulation 4, a new sub clause (v) in clause (a) shall be added, namely :- (v) it is a fit and proper person. (2) in regulation 4, a new sub clause (v) in clause (b) shall be added, namely :- (v) the applicant is a fit and proper person. [F. No. SEBI/LE/2304/98] D. R.
