O. 616 DATED 19-3-1998 It is notified for general information that Character Housing Finance Ltd., Anand, has been approved by the Central Government as a housing finance company for the purposes of section 36(1)( viii ) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, for the assessment years 1997-98 and 1998-99.
