MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Economic Affairs) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, 16th September, 1997 GSR 541(E).- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 29 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992) the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Debenture Trustees) Rules, 1993: 1.(1) These rules may be called the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Debenture Trustees) Amendment Rules, 1997. (2) These shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In rule 3 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Debenture Trustees) Rules, 1993, after sub-rule (1), sub-rule (2) shall be added as follows, namely:- (2) The Board shall, within three months of receipt of all the information for considering the application under sub-rule (1), take a decision thereon and send an intimation to the applicant.
