Chit Funds Act, 1982 is applicable in the State of Andra Pradesh and Mizoram w.e.f. 15-9-2009 NOTIFICATION No. New Delhi, the 15th September, 2008 S.O.2197 (E) exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section I of the Chit Funds Act, 1982 (40 of 1982), the Central Government hereby appoints the fifteenth day of September, 2008 as the date on which the provisions of the said Act shall come into force in the States of Andhra Pradesh and Mizoram.
