Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Rules, 1991 - G.S.R. 179(E) - Foreign Contribution (Regulation)

MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 25th March, 1991 G.S.R. 179(E). In exercise of the powers conferred by section 30 of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 1976 (49 of 1976) the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Rules, 1976 , namely : 1.(1) These rules may be called the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Rules, 1991. (2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 1991. 2. In rule 2 of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Rules, 1976 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), after clause (c), the following clause shall be inserted, namely : (d) 'Year' means the accounting year commencing from the 1st day of April and ending on 31st day of March of the next calendar year . 3. In rule 4 of the said rules , (i) for clause (a), the following clause shall be substituted, namely : (a) foreign contribution by an association referred to in sub-sections (1) and (1A) of section 6 shall be given every year beginning on the 1st day of April in form FC-3 in duplicate within sixty days of the closure of the year : Provided that a NIL report shall also be furnished. The intimation to be furnished for the year beginning on the 1st day of April, 1991 shall also include the receipt and utilisation of foreign contribution during the period commencing from 1st January, 1991 and ending on 31st March, 1991 . (ii) in clause (a), for the proforma of form FC-3, the following proforma shall be substituted, namely : 4. In sub-rule (2) of rule 8 of the said rules , (i) for the word January , the word April shall be substituted; (ii) for the letters and figure FC-9 , the letters, figure and words FC-3 alongwith a balance sheet and statement of receipt and payment shall be substituted. 5. Serial Nos. 1 to 6 are for the use of Ministry. 2. One letter/figure should be written in each box for serial numbers 7 and 9. 3. Abbreviations should be used wherever boxes are inadequate. 4. Wherever space is inadequate information should be given in a separate annexure
