(E): - In exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 and Section 5 of Foreign Trade (Development Regulation) Act, 1992 , read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2023 , as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby amends the Import Policy Condition of following items covered under Chapter 85 of ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule - I (Import Policy) , with immediate effect, as under: ITC(HS) Code Description Import Policy Existing Policy Condition Revised Policy Condition 85423100 - Electronic integrated circuits :-- Processors and controllers, whether or not combined with memories, converters, logic circuits, amplifiers, clock and timing circuits, or other circuits Free Subject to Policy Condition 8 of Chapter-85. Subject to compulsory registration under Chip Imports Monitoring System (CHIMS) - 85423300 - Electronic integrated circuits :-- Amplifiers Free Subject to Policy Condition 8 of Chapter-85. Subject to compulsory registration under Chip Imports Monitoring System (CHIMS) - 85423900 - Electronic integrated circuits : -- Other Free Subject to Policy Condition 8 of Chapter-85. Subject to compulsory registration under Chip Imports Monitoring System (CHIMS) - Effect of the Notification: The Requirement of Compulsory Registration under Chip Imports Monitoring System (CHIMS) in terms of Policy Condition No. 08 of Chapter 85 of ITC (HS), 2022, Schedule-I (Import Policy) has been Discontinued , with immediate Effect.
