Modvat - Inputs Notification No. 6/92-C.E. (N.T.) Dated 1-3-1992 In exercise of the powers conferred by rule 57A of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 177/86-Central Excises, dated the 1st March, 1986, namely :- In the said notification, - (a) in the opening paragraph, (i) in clause (ii)(c), the word "and" occurring at the end shall be omitted and after clause (ii)(c), the following clause shall be inserted, namely,- "(ii)(d) the special duty of excise under sub-clause (1) of clause 118 of the Finance Bill, 1992, which clause has, by virtue of the declaration made in the said Bill under the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1931 (16 of 1931), the force of law; and"; and (ii) for clause (iii), the following clause shall be substituted, namely, "(iii) the additional duty under section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), equivalent to the duties of excise specified under (i) to (ii)(d) above"; (b) in the first proviso, - (i) in clause (1), for the words "equivalent to the duties of excise specified under (i) to (ii)(a) above", the words "equivalent to the duties of excise specified under (i) to (ii)(d) above" shall be substituted; and (ii) in clause (2), for the words, brackets and figures "the special duty of excise leviable under sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Finance Act, 1991 (18 of 1991)", the words, brackets and figures "the special duty of excise leviable under sub-clause (1) of clause 118 of the Finance Bill, 1992, which clause has, by virtue of the declaration made in the said Bill under the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1931 (16 of 1931), the force of law" shall be substituted.
