Goods to Which Provisions of Chapter VIIA of Excise Rules Applies - Amendment to Notification No. 23/86-C.E.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (1) of rule 173A of the Central Excise Rules, 1944, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 23/86-Central Excises, dated the 10th February, 1986, namely :-

In the said notification, in the Table annexed to the first paragraph, after item (d), the following items shall be inserted, namely :-

"(e) Vegetable product i.e. any vegetable oil or fat which, whether by itself or in admixture with any other substance, has, by hydrogenation or by any other process, been hardened for human consumption, falling under Chapter 15.

(f) Gas compressors of a kind used in refrigerating and air conditioning appliances and machinery, falling under Chapter 84.".

2. This notification shall come into force on the 3rd day of February, 1992.
