Wires and cables [Chapter 85] Notification No. 39/92-C.E. Dated 1-3-1992 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) specified in column (2) of the Table annexed hereto, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. No. 1, in column (3), for the figures and words "15% ad valorem ", the figures and words "20% ad valorem " shall be substituted; (ii) against Sl. No. 2, in column (3), for the figures and words "20% ad valorem ", the figures and words "25% ad valorem " shall be substituted; (iii) against Sl. No. 3, in column (3), for the figures and words "20% ad valorem ", the figures and words "25% ad valorem " shall be substituted; (iv) Sl. No. 4 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted. 2. 116/90-Central Ex-cises, dated the 16th May, 1990. In the Table annexed to the said notification, against Sl. No. 1, in column (3), for the figures and words "15% ad valorem " and "20% ad valorem ", the figures and words "20% ad valorem " and "25% ad valorem " shall respectively be substituted.
