Amendment to Notification No. 74/90-C.E. - Video/audio - Tapes or Cassettes

Notification No. 117/90-C.E.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 74/90-Central Excises, dated the 20th March, 1990, namely :-

In the Table annexed to the said notification, -

(i) against S. No. l, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Rs. 3.00 per square metre." shall be substituted;

(ii) against S. No. 2, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Nil." shall be substituted;

(iii) against S. No. 6, for the entry in column (4), the entry "Rs. 3.00 per square metre." shall be substituted;

(iv) against S. No. 7, -

(a) for the entry in column (3), the entry "Recorded audio cassettes" shall be substituted;

(b for the entry in column (4), the entry "Nil" shall be substituted;

(v) S. No. 8 and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted.
