Amendment to Notification No. 170/88-C.E. [ Ch. 72] Notification No. 292/88-C.E. Dated 9-12-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 5A of the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944 (1 of 1944), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 170/88-Central Excises, dated the 13th May, 1988, namely :- In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) against S. No. 29, in column (4), for the existing entry, the entry "Rs. 1115 per tonne", shall be substituted, and (ii) against S. No 37, in column (4), for the existing entry, the entry "Rs. 1115 per tonne", shall be substituted.
