Appointment of Commissioners, Deputy/Assistant Commissioners of Customs for the specified areas - Notification No. 27/97-Cus. (N.T.) amended Notification No. 6/98-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 3-2-1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section (4) of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 27/97-Customs (N.T.), dated the 7th July, 1997, namely :- In the Table to the said notification, - (a) against serial no. 8, for the entries in column (2), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "Port and airport of Visakhapatnam, Visakhapatnam Export Processing Zone and the areas under the Municipal Corporation of Visakhapatnam in the State of Andhra Pradesh."; (b) against serial no. 10, for the entries in column (2), the following shall be substituted, namely :- "Port and airport of Kandla, Kandla Free Trade Zone and the areas within a radius of 8 kilometres around that Zone and the areas under the jurisdiction of Gandhidham Municipality.".
