Appointment of Customs Officers - Amendment to Notification No. 250/83-Cus. Notification No. 60/93-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 3-12-1993 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 4 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 250/83- Customs, dated the 27th August, 1983, namely :- In the Table to the said notification, in item 2, for sub-item (a) and (b) and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely :- (1) (2) (3) (4) "(a) Districts of Pithora-garh, Almora, Nanital, Pilibhit, Bareilly, Lakhim-pur-Kheri, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Sitapur, Baha-raich, Lucknow, Unnao, Rai-Bareilly, Sultanpur, Pratapgarh, Faizabad, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Azamgarh, Bal-lia, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Varanasi, Dehradun, Chamoli, Haridwar, Badayun, Pauri, Saharanpur, Uttarkashi, Rampur, Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Moradabad, Ghaziabad and Barabanki in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Collector of Customs (Preventive) Patna for the entire Collectorate. Additional Collector of Customs, Muzaffarpur in respect of districts in the States of Bihar and West Bengal and Sikkim as shown in Column (1). Deputy Collector of Customs working under the control of Collector of Customs (Preventive) Patna. Assistant Collector of Customs working under the control of Collector of Customs (Preventive) Patna. (b) District of Purbi Cha-mparan, Paschimi Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Madhubani, Darbahnga, Samastipur, Begusarai, Khajaria, Saharsa, Madhepur, Purnea, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Bhagalpur, Godda, Mongher, Deoghar, Sahebganj, Patna, Nalanda, in the State of Bihar. Additional Collector of Customs, Lucknow, in respect of the districts, in the State of Uttar Pradesh as shown in Column (1)".
