Dated 18-6-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 152 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 49/88-Cus. (N.T.), dated 1-7-1988 the Central Government hereby directs that the following powers of the Central Board of Excise Customs under the said Customs Act, shall also be exercisable by the Prin cipal Collectors of Customs and the Principal Collectors of Customs and Central Excise notified in Government of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) Notification No. 17/90-Cus. (N.T.), dated 6-4-1990 within their respective jurisdiction, namely :- (i) power to declare places to be warehousing stations under section 9 of the said Customs Act; (ii) power to extend the period for which goods may remain warehoused under section 61 of the said Customs Act; (iii) powers under the proviso to clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 74 of the said Customs Act, in cases in which the goods are entered for export within three years from the date of payment of duty on the importation thereof.
