Amends the Tourist Baggage Rules, 1978. Notification No. 6/90-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 20-3-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 79 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Tourist Baggage Rules, 1978, namely:- 1. (1) These rules may be called the Tourist Baggage (Amendment) Rules, 1990. (2) They shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 1990. 2. In the Tourist Baggage Rules, 1978, - (1) in rule 5, for the words and figures "rule 9 of the Baggage rules 1978", the words and figures "in Appendix B to the Baggage Rules, 1978" shall be substituted; (2) in rule 6, - (a) in the first proviso, for the words and figure "rule 9 of", the words and letter "Appendix B to" shall be substituted; (b) in the second proviso, for the figures and word "9 of", the words, figure and letter "Appendix B to" shall be substituted.
