Supersedes Notification No. 43/89-Cus. (N.T.) - Exchange Rate Notification No. 62/89-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 18-10-1989 In pursuance of sub-clause (i) of Clause (a) of sub-section (3) of section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, No. 43-NT-Customs [G.S.R. No. 693 (E)], dated the 11th July, 1989 the Central Government hereby determines that for the purpose of Section 14 of the said Act, the rate of exchange for conversion of one Russian Rouble into Indian currency or vice-versa, shall be rupees 19.2411. This rate will be effective from Wednesday, the 18th October, 1989.
