Appointment of Customs Air Port - Supersedes Notification Nos. 88/84-Cus. and 355/87-Cus. Notification No. 57/89-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 19-9-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) - (i) No. 88/84-Customs, dated the 31st March, 1984, and (ii) No. 355/87-Customs, dated the 11th November, 1987, the Central Government hereby appoints Visakhapatnam airport as customs airport for the unloading of the following imported goods namely :- (i) goods required for the manufacture of ships, (ii) goods required for the repair and maintenance of ships, (iii) electronic components for manufacture of wireless communication equipment and radar, (iv) spares and components for mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation equipment supplies to be made to the Visakhapatnam Steel Project.
