Amendment to Notification No. 31/86-Cus. - 42/89 - Customs - Non Tariff

Amendment to Notification No. 31/86-Cus. Notification No. 42/89-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 30-6-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1A) of section 110 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 31/86-Customs, dated the 5th February, 1986, namely :- In the Schedule annexed to the said notification, (a) after item 1, the following item shall be inserted namely :- "1A. Photographic Films;"; "1B. Patent or Proprietary medicine; i.e., any drug or medicinal preparation, in whatever form, for use in the internal or external treatment of, or for the prevention of ailments in, human beings or animals, which bears either on itself or on its container or both, a name which is not specified in a monograph, in a Pharmacopoeia or Formulary." (b) after item 3, the following item shall be inserted, namely :- "3A. Zip fasteners;"; (c) in item 4, the word "and" occurring at the end shall be omitted; (d) after item 4, the following items shall be inserted, namely :- "4A. Gold in the form of bullion, ingot or coin; 4B. Silver in the form of bullion, ingot or coin; and".
