Land Customs Stations on Indo-Nepal Border - 14/89 - Customs - Non TariffExtract Land Customs Stations on Indo-Nepal Border Notification No. 14/89-Cus. (N.T.) Dated 23-3-1989 In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (b) and (c) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), and in supersession of the notification of Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 73-Customs, dated the 25th March, 1978, the Central Government hereby appoints - (1) the places specified in column (2) of the Table appended hereto as the customs stations for the clearance of goods - (a) which are imported into India from Nepal or exported from India to Nepal and which are - (i) liable to duties of customs or cess; or (ii) subject to import restrictions or export restrictions, as the case may be; or (b) which are exported from India to Nepal and which are entitled to rebate of duties of customs or duties of excise; and (2) the routes specified in column (3) of the said Table mentioned against each of the stations in column (2) thereof as the routes through which alone goods of the types specified in clause (1) may pass from or to Nepal. Raxaul Road and Railway line connecting Raxaul in India, and Birganj in Nepal. 2. This notification shall come into force on the 24th day of March, 1989.
