Calcium carbide originating in or exported from the Peoples Republic of China and Romania - Anti-dumping duty Notification No. 71/98-Cus. Dated 8-10-1998 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 9(A) of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), read with rule 13 and rule 20 of the Customs Tariff (Identification, Assessment and Collection of Anti-dumping duty on Dumped Articles and for Determination of Injury) Rules, 1995, and based on the preliminary findings of the Designated Authority published in Part-I, Section I, of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary dated the 24th August, 1998, in the matter of dumping of Calcium Carbide, the Central Government, being satisfied that it is in public interest so to do, hereby imposes on Calcium Carbide, falling under chapter 28 of the First Schedule to the said Customs Tariff Act, when originating in or exported from the country specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed, and imported into India, an anti-dumping duty at the rate specified in column (3) of the said Table.
