Imports - Exemption under Advance Licence issued after 1-4-1997 - Amendment to Notification No. 31/97-Cus. Notification No. 95/97-Cus. Dated 19-12-1997 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 31/97-Customs, dated the 1st April, 1997, namely :- In the said notification, in condition (iv) for the portion beginning with the words "that the imports and exports" and ending with the brackets and word "(Indore)" the following should be substituted, namely; "that the imports and exports are undertaken through sea ports at Bombay, Calcutta, Cochin, Kakinada, Kandla, Mangalore, Marmagao, Madras, Nhava Sheva, Paradeep, Tuticorin and Visakhapathnam or through any of the airports at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bombay, Calcutta, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Madras, Srinagar, Trivandrum and Varanasi or through any of the Inland Container Depots at Agra, Bangalore, Coimbatore, Delhi, Faridabad, Gauhati, Guntur, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Moradabad, Nagpur, Pimpri (Pune), Pitampur (Indore), Tirupur and Varanasi."
