Leather industry goods - Exemption from Countervailing duty to goods of Notification No. 164/94-Cus. of withdrawn -Effective duty of 20% on 24 new chemicals Notification No. 164/94-Cus. Dated 2-9-1994 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 45/94-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1994, namely :- In the said notification, :- (i) in the opening paragraph, the words "and the whole of the additional duty leviable thereon under section 3 of the said Customs Tariff Act" shall be omitted; (ii) in the Table, under heading B, in column (2), against S. No. 9, after Item (x), the following Items shall be added, namely :- "(xi) Lactic Casein (xii) Titanium Dioxide (xiii) Iron Oxide (xiv) Ethyl Acrylate (xv) Butyl Acrylate (xvi) 2 Ethyl Hexyl Acrylate (xvii) Methyl Methacrylate (xviii) Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (xix) Methoxydyhydropyrane (xx) Dioxy Diphenyl Sulphone (xxi) Dehydro Thio Paratoludine (xxii) Nitro Amino Phenol Sulphonic Acid (xxiii) Dicyandiamide (xxiv) Silicone Oil in solvent or water (xxv) Sodium Picramate (xxvi) Mythyl Pyrozollic Acid (xxvii) Itaconic Acid (xxviii) 1-Methoxy Propanol-2 (xxix) Ethyl Acetate (xxx) Butyl Acetate (xxxi) 2 Ethyl Hexyl Acetate (xxxii) Emulsifiers (xxxiii) Ethyl Glycol (xxxiv) Butyl Glycol".
