Iron and Steel - Amendments to Notification Nos. 292/87-Cus., 80/90-Cus. 83/90-Cus. Notification No. 21/92-Cus. Dated 16-1-1992 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table given below shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table, namely :- TABLE S. No. Notification No. date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 292/87-Customs, dated the 12th August, 1987 In the said notification, for the words and figures "15 per cent ad valorem plus Rs. 1100/- per tonne", the words and figures "5 per cent ad valorem plus Rs. 1100/- per tonne" shall be substituted. 2. 80/90-Customs, dated the 20th March, 1990 In the Table annexed to the said notification, - (i) against S. No. 1 in column (4) for the entry "40% ad valorem ", the entry "20% ad valorem " shall be substituted; (ii) against S. No. 7 in column (4) for the entry "15% ad valorem ", the entry "5% ad valorem " shall be substituted. 3. 83/90-Customs, dated the 20th March, 1990 In the said notification, for the figures and words "20% ad valorem ", the figures and words "5% ad valorem " shall be substituted.
