Components for Trawlers - Amendment to Notification No. 247/84-Cus. Notification No. 20/92-Cus. Dated 16-1-1992 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 247/84-Customs, dated the 27th September, 1984, namely :- In the opening paragraph of the said notification, for the condition (i), the following condition shall be substituted, namely :- "(i) the importer produces a certificate from Empowered Committee on Fishing Trawlers in the Department of Surface Transport (Ministry of Surface Transport) to the effect that the components and equipments are required for the manufacture of trawlers; and (a) the value of such components and equipments in the case of tuna long liners, purse-seiners, squid jiggers and stern trawlers does not exceed thirty-five per cent of the cost price of the aforesaid trawlers being manufactured out of such components and equipments; (b) the value of such components and equipments in the case of other trawlers does not exceed thirty per cent of the cost price of such trawlers being manufactured out of such components and equipments.";
