Polyethylene and copolymers of ethylene - Amendment to Notification No. 171/90-Cus. Notification No. 206/90-Cus. Dated 2-7-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 171/90-Customs, dated the 16th May, 1990, namely :- In the said notification,- (i) in the opening paragraph, the brackets, words and figures "(conforming to specifications laid down in Indian Standard 7803 (Part II 1975)" shall be omitted: (ii) in the second proviso, for clauses (b) and (c), the following clauses shall be substituted, namely :- (b) he possesses Aseptic Form FILL Seal Machine/Machines; (c) the packaging material manufactured out of said imported goods conforms to the specifications laid down in Indian Standard 7803 (Part II) 1975; and (d) he shall pay, on demand, in the event of his failure to comply with the requirement specified in clauses (a), (b) or (c) above, an amount equal to the difference between the duty leviable on such quantity of the said imported goods but for the exemption contained herein and that already paid at the time of importation.".
