Amendment to Notification Nos. 227/76-Cus. 47/89-Cus. - Specified Goods of Chapter 39 Notification No. 15/90-Cus. Dated 28-2-1990 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue Banking or Department of Revenue, as the case may be, specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. TABLE S. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 227/76-Customs, dated the 2nd August, 1976. In the Table annexed to the said notification,- (i) against S. No. 4, in column (3), for the words and figures "Rs. 7000 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 5000 per tonne" shall be substituted; (ii) against S. No. 5, in column (3), for the words and figures "Rs. 6400 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 3000 per tonne" shall be substituted. 2. 47/89-Customs, dated the 1st March, 1989. In the Table annexed to the said notification,- (i) against S. No. 01, in column (3), for the words and figures "Rs. 6200 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 3000 per tonne" shall be substituted; (ii) against S. No. 03, in column (3), for the words and figures "Rs. 17500 per tonne", the words and figures "Rs. 1000 per tonne" shall be substituted.
