Amendment to Notification Nos. 159/88-Cus, and 161/88-Cus. - Auxiliary duty Notification No. 335/88-Cus. Dated 31-12-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), read with sub-section (4) of section 77 of the Finance Act, 1988 (26 of 1988), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, specified in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be further amended in the manner specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table. THE TABLE S. No. Notification No. and date Amendment (1) (2) (3) 1. 159/88-Customs, dated the 13th May, 1988 In the Schedule to the said notification, Sl. No. 210 and the entry relating thereto shall be omitted. 2. 161/88-Customs, dated the 13th May, 1988 In the Schedule to the said notification, -(a) Sl. No. 39 and the entry relating thereto shall be omitted. (b) after Sl. No. 60 and the entry relating thereto, the following Sl. Nos. and the entries shall be inserted, namely :- "61. No. 333/88-Customs, dated the 31st December, 1988. 62. No. 334/88-Customs, dated the 31st December, 1988." 2. This notification shall come into force on the 1st day of January, 1989.
