Amendment to Notification No. 247/84-Cus. [G.E. No. 78] Notification No. 283/88-Cus. Dated 30-9-1988 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 247/84-Customs, dated the 27th September, 1984, namely :- (a) in paragraph 1 of the said notification, after the Table annexed thereto and before paragraph 2 of the said notification, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely "Provided that nothing contained in this notification shall apply in respect of a manufacturer of trawlers who is availing of the benefit of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 237/87-Customs, dated the 16th June, 1987"; (b) in paragraph 2 of the said notification, for the figures, letters and words "30th day of September, 1988", the figures, letters and words, "30th day of September, 1989" shall be substituted.
