Public Provident Fund Act, 1968 - Rate of interest per annum Notification Number: 0426 Dated 31/05/1983 In pursuance of section 5 of the Public Provident Fund Act, 1968 (23 of 1968), the Central Government hereby notifies that during the year 1983-84, subscriptions made to the Fund and balances to the credit of the subscribers shall bear interest at the rate of nine per cent. per annum.
